We're seeking a passionate and student-focused Special Education Teacher to support a school district in Nebraska City, Nebraska. The Special Education Teacher will provide individualized instruction and academic support to students receiving special education services. Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation. Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Modify curriculum and instructional strategies to support student success. Participate in IEP meetings, team conferences, and parent communication. Support the implementation of behavior intervention strategies when needed. Maintain compliance with state, district, and federal special education guidelines. Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and school staff. Provide specialized instruction to students with varying learning, developmental, and behavioral needs.
Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field required. Strong collaboration, classroom management, and communication skills are required. Active Nebraska teaching certification with Special Education endorsement or eligibility to obtain licensure.
