The Lead Teacher is responsible for planning, assessing, and instructing 4-year-old children according to GSRP grant requirements. This includes implementing approved curricula, conducting child assessments, and collaborating with classroom teams to ensure high-quality instruction.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, or a valid teaching certificate with ZA/ZS endorsement. Experience in leading a classroom and the ability to meet state childcare requirements are also required.
The Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) is Michigan's state-funded, nationally recognized, Pre-K program for 4-year-old children. The GSRP Teacher is responsible for all aspects of planning, assessing and instructing 4-year old's, based on needs of each child, and the requirements of the GSRP grant.
