The Pharmacy Intern assists the pharmacist in the storage, preparation, and dispensing of medications. They also identify, prepare, package, label, and deliver medications under the supervision of a pharmacist.
Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited college or school of Pharmacy and registered with the Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy. A PA Pharmacy Intern license is required.
The Pharmacy Intern is registered with the Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy for the purpose of receiving experiential pharmacy practice training. Assists the pharmacist in the storage, preparation and dispensing of medications to patients, patient care areas and departments.
