The Computer Teacher will prepare students for college and career pathways by providing hands-on instruction in network security, cyber threats, ethical computing practices, and technology fundamentals. Develop and deliver cybersecurity and technology curriculum aligned with New York State learning standards and school goals. Teach foundational and advanced concepts related to cybersecurity, including: Network security Cyber threats and risk management Digital citizenship and online safety Ethical hacking concepts Data protection and privacy Computer systems and networking Design project-based learning experiences that provide students with practical, real-world applications. Utilize technology tools, software, and simulations to enhance instruction. Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback on assignments, projects, and assessments. Maintain accurate attendance, grading, and student records. Establish and maintain a positive classroom culture that supports academic growth and responsible technology use. Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and families to support student success. Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives. Support students in exploring cybersecurity and technology-related college and career opportunities. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
