  • Academies of Math and Science K-2nd Grade Teachers (2026-2027 School Year) Location: 7785 West Peoria Avenue Peoria, AZ 85345 Compensation Range: $48,331.25 - $54,571.89 Start Date: 7/20/2026 Position Overview Academies of Math and Science (AMS) is a network of high-performing K–8 public charter schools committed to academic excellence, college readiness, and equitable access to high-quality education for students in historically underserved communities.
  • AMS is seeking a passionate, data-driven K-2nd Grade Teachers to deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction and build strong foundational literacy, numeracy, and critical thinking skills.
  • AMS teachers are collaborative professionals who believe that all scholars can achieve at high levels through structured instruction, strong classroom culture, and consistent data-driven decision-making.
  • Key Responsibilities Instruction & Student Achievement Deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction aligned to AMS curriculum frameworks.
  • Differentiate instruction to support students performing above and below grade level.
  • Use formative and summative assessment data to drive instructional planning and interventions.
  • Build strong foundational skills in reading, writing, and mathematics.
  • Classroom Culture & Student Support Establish and maintain a structured, positive, and high-expectations classroom environment.
  • Implement PBIS and preventative intervention strategies.
  • Support students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development.
  • Collaboration & Professional Growth Participate in weekly professional development and professional learning communities.
  • Collaborate with grade-level teams and instructional leaders to continuously improve teaching practices.
  • Contribute to school-wide systems and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Family Engagement Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress.
  • Lead parent-teacher conferences and maintain strong home-school partnerships.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must meet one of the following requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Education, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or relevant content area) OR Valid Arizona teaching certification in a relevant subject area OR Minimum of three (3) years of K–12 teaching experience Additionally, candidates must: Demonstrate strong classroom management skills Pass required background checks and obtain an IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card Show commitment to serving Title I and multilingual communities Demonstrate strong analytical skills and a data-driven instructional mindset Exhibit collaboration, professionalism, and initiative in a team-based environment Compensation & Benefits AMS offers a competitive compensation and benefits package designed to support professional growth and long-term career success.
