Uta Halee Academy (UHA) is a female-specific, residential program that offers young women opportunities to build productive and meaningful futures for themselves and their communities. The starting salary for a non-credentialed individual is $42,500. Candidates holding a Bachelor’s degree and five years of teaching experience, who are hired to teach Math, Science, Special Education, or Multi-Subject Credentials, are eligible for a starting salary of $51,957. (Please note that candidates with more experience and multi-subject credentials have a higher starting salary rate.) The starting salary is $60,813 for those with a Master’s degree, 7 years of teaching experience from an accredited institution in a field related to the position, and who are hired to teach Math, Science, Special Education, or Multi-Subject Credentials. Be at least 21 years of age, ~ Possess a current and valid Nebraska teaching credential in Special Education K-12. Preferred multiple credentials in Math and Science.~ Bachelor's degree in the Education field from an accredited college or university ~ Have three or more years of successful classroom teaching~ Have related experience working with at-risk youth ages 13-17 ~ Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test ~ Be able to pass a search of the child abuse central registry.
