The School Social Worker provides therapy services, conducts assessments, and develops IEP plans for students. They collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including educators and parents to support students with special needs.
Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) and have completed 900 hours of supervised fieldwork. Preference is given to those with 2+ years of experience and bilingual Spanish skills.
Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) (LSW) or LCSW) from an accredited program Completion of 900 hours of supervised practicum/fieldwork in social work settings Experience working with children or school-aged students preferred Knowledge of IEPs, special education law, and behavior intervention planning 2+ years of experience (preferred but not required) Organizational and time management skills Proficient in use of technology Fingerprint background clearance Physical Requirements Working and playing with students requires that employees must be able to perform the necessary physical movement functions, as needed, such as lifting, sitting, walking, standing, crawling, and engaging with students in all physical locations and activities, while adhering to the duties outlined by the district.
