Job DetailsJob Location

We are currently seeking candidates to join our team as an Occupational Therapist in our Early Intervention, Early Learning Program and Autism team. In this role you will be responsible for providing occupational therapy to children with disabilities.   • Collaborating with other team members, you will: Evaluating children and gathering information to establish a detailed treatment plan to serve the child’s needs. Promotes maximum independence by implementing quality, individually designed treatment plans and activities. Treats children in the classroom setting by implementing quality, individually designed treatment plans and activities to meet established goals from evaluation plan. Completes assigned Autism evaluations and reports for children with a suspected diagnosis of autism and submits to autism evaluation clinic. Manages schedule efficiently including re-scheduling visits within required timelines. Trains teachers and parents on assisting with child treatment plans. Completes required and necessary paperwork for each child which can include: evaluation reports, daily notes, progress notes, scheduling, insurance and visit coding and other documentation requirements in the specified computer system. Participates in interdisciplinary staff meetings collaborating with team members/ support staff across departments. Maintains productivity and paperwork standards. Meets with parents/caregivers to share results of testing and review progress towards goals (fine motor skills, school-based self-help skills, sensory skills, social interaction and strengthening skill). Fabricates adaptive equipment to assist children with successful completion of school-based and home-based tasks, which can include, adaptive positioning in a chair, adaptive feeding equipment, weighted blankets, battery adapters for switch access, etc. Accountable for Outpatient Splinting by selecting, measuring and molding clients for various prefabricated hand splints.

Experience with conducting occupational Therapy evaluations for children with suspected diagnosis of autism (under the age of 7 years) preferred. Clinical experience working in a school-based setting preferred.
