The instructor is responsible for leading group fitness classes, including HIIT, weights, and pilates, while ensuring participant safety. Duties include developing lesson plans, managing equipment, and providing excellent customer service to members.
Candidates must hold current certifications in First Aid, CPR, and AED, with at least six months of experience assisting in group exercise classes. A background in HIIT, weight training, functional movement, and pilates or yoga is preferred.
Any combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position is qualifying. Knowledge of the safe use and operation of strength training and cardiovascular equipment; general knowledge of body mechanics and anatomy (preferred). PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS + WORKING CONDITIONS: Duties are performed in a fitness center/studio and require the ability to set up equipment and move quickly throughout the facility. This involves lifting up to 30 pounds, pushing, pulling, gripping, bending, stooping, walking and running.
