Job Summary The Hartley Academic Resource Center with FGCU Athletics is seeking study hall monitors. The Study Hall Monitor assists with maintaining an academic focused environment for student athletes.
Typical duties include but are not limited to: Signs student-athletes in and out of study hall. Monitors activities to ensure an academic focused environment. Maintains the public study areas in a neat and orderly fashion. Adheres to all NCAA and FGCU policies and procedures. Other Duties: Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Additional
Required Qualifications: Demonstrated commitment to academic integrity and desire to help student athletes succeed. Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends. Student employees must have a minimum GPA 2.5 and be in good conduct standing with the University. Must be eligible to receive Federal Work-Study funds. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Promote a common purpose consistent with stated University goals and demonstrate a commitment to students and the learning environment. Possess the knowledge of general written standards and procedures utilized, and have the ability to read, interpret, and follow procedural and policy manual related to the job tasks. Demonstrate the ability to respond to supervision, guidance and direction in a positive, receptive manner and in accordance with stated policies. Provide quality customer service by creating a welcoming and supportive environment. Present a professional image in word, action and attire. Apply effective techniques to create working relationships with others to achieve common goals; successfully communicates and collaborates with others to achieve goals. Demonstrate skills necessary to look at situations and processes critically to make recommendations for improvement.
