• Requirements Job Overview The Swim Instructor will provide private swim instruction primarily to adults from beginner to advanced level, but may also include some instruction for children.
• The instructor must have previous teaching experience, understand how to teach the “fearful adult swimmer”, enjoy helping clients improve their swimming ability and be enthusiastic, friendly and positive.
• The position is part-time and involves evening and weekend hours approximately 10 hours per week.
• Work Interactions This position provides a service to our Georgetown University students, faculty and staff as well as the local community.
• The position reports to the Aquatics Coordinator.
• The work performed contributes to the revenue generated by Aquatics deparmtent.
• Requirements and Qualifications Must have previous teaching experience with adult beginner, intermediate and advanced swimmers.
• CPR/AED First Aid Certification (preferred by not required) Red Cross WSI (preferred by not required) Engaging and professional approach Self-motivated with passion for helping clients achieve their swim goals.

Pay Range The projected hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is: $36.00 - $44.00.
• Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
