Who We're Looking For We welcome applicants across a range of backgrounds, including:
Certified/licensed teachers (current or retired) Graduate students in education, subject-specific fields, or related areas Undergraduate students with strong academic records and demonstrated subject mastery Professionals with relevant subject-matter expertise and a passion for teaching Subject Areas
Elementary reading & literacy Middle/high school math (Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calc, Calculus) Middle/high school science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) Test prep (ACT/SAT) Other subjects as needed — let us know your strengths!
Prior tutoring, teaching, or classroom experience preferred Strong command of the subject(s) you'll be tutoring Excellent communication skills and patience working with students at different learning levels Reliable, professional, and punctual Comfortable working independently as a contractor Background check required Must sign Bright Futures Tutoring's Independent Contractor Agreement prior to starting Work Locations We offer flexibility in where sessions take place, depending on tutor and student preference:
Online — virtual sessions via video call In-office — sessions held at our Bright Futures location
