As an Academic Instructor in our Career Education Center, you'll do more than teach; you'll help Job Corps students build the literacy, numeracy, and academic credentials they need to earn a GED or high school diploma and step confidently toward brighter futures. If you're passionate about student success and energized by the chance to make a real, lasting difference in young adults' lives, this is your opportunity to create meaningful impact every single day. Your role ensures students achieve academic milestones — opening doors to stronger futures and stronger communities. What You'll Do Deliver High-Quality Academic Instruction Provide instruction and training that leads students to GED/HSD completion and improved literacy and numeracy skills. Develop individual achievement plans and academic goals that ensure real, measurable student progress. Support Every Student's Success Provide comprehensive, individualized case management that drives student progress, achievement, and completion of the Job Corps program. Strengthen the Learning Experience Partner with CTT Instructors to infuse applied academics into career-technical training curricula, enhancing student learning and success. Keep your classroom organized, welcoming, and conducive to learning, and continually pursue improvements to programs and services. Uphold Integrity & Performance Follow all integrity guidelines and ensure strict confidentiality of sensitive information and student data. Help the Center meet or exceed DOL and company performance goals while producing thorough, timely, and accurate work. Communicate & Collaborate Exchange ideas clearly in writing and in person, identify and resolve problems with sound judgment, and work in partnership with staff across all departments to deliver effective student supervision and services.
