STEM School Highlands Ranch offers a comprehensive benefits package, including: ● Employer-paid health, dental, and vision insurance (available on the 1st of the following month). ● Short-term, long-term disability, life, and ADD insurance (available six months from hire date). ● Retirement benefits including PERA pension and 401K employee-only contribution managed through Colorado’s PERA program. ● Other benefits include FSA (medical and dependent care), Sick Time, and PTO based on years of service Position Specific Information (if Applicable): Position Overview: The Elementary Instructional Assistant plays a key role in supporting teachers and enhancing the learning environment for elementary-aged students. This position involves assisting with classroom management, delivering small group instruction in reading and math, and supporting students in developing essential academic and organizational skills. Key Responsibilities: ● Support classroom management and help maintain a positive, productive learning environment ● Parallel and co-teach small-group reading and math lessons ● Monitor and deliver assessments to small groups of students ● Encourage and support student independence in academic tasks ● Assist students with organizational, study, and time management skills ● Provide clerical support such as copying, filing, and maintaining records ● Collaborate with the learning support services team to meet student needs ● Supervise students during hallway transitions, lunch, recess and other non-instructional times *lunch and recess duties 2+ hours a day. ● Participate in driveline duties to help ensure the safety of students during arrival and dismissal ● Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: ● High School Diploma or equivalent ● Ability to pass a criminal background check ● Strong commitment to student learning and development ● Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities ● Responsive and proactive communication with students and faculty ● Proficient in both Mac and PC platforms and Google applications ● Experience working in a diverse, fast-paced, and collaborative environment preferred Physical Requirements: ● Occasional lifting of 5 to 50 pounds ● Ability to stand/walk for up to 90 minutes ● Ability to run short distances if necessary ● Frequent bending, stooping, standing, walking, kneeling, crawling, squatting, reaching, and sitting Schedule ● Day shift: (7:30am - 4:00pm) ● Monday to Friday ● School Year: 2025 – 2026 This position will be open until filled. The pay range for this role is $16.78 - $25.86 per hour, depending on education and experience. $17.30 USD - $26.64 USD Hourly All salary amounts listed above are based on a full-time (1.0) FTE. If applicable, part-time salaries will be prorated according to the assigned FTE.
