Candidates must have previous experience as a Preschool or Lead Teacher in a licensed program and strong knowledge of early childhood development. CPR and First Aid certifications are required within 30 days of hire, along with state licensing background checks.
Discovery Kidzone is seeking a Full-Time Lead Preschool Teacher to join our growing early childhood education team. We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic educator who is passionate about creating a positive learning environment where preschool-aged children can develop socially, emotionally, physically, and academically through hands-on, play-based learning.
The Lead Teacher is responsible for planning and implementing engaging classroom experiences while fostering strong relationships with children, families, and fellow educators.
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and daily classroom activities Create a safe, welcoming, and engaging preschool learning environment Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development Encourage independence, creativity, and positive peer interactions Observe, assess, and document children's developmental progress Maintain regular communication with families regarding classroom activities and student growth Guide and support Assistant Teachers while promoting a collaborative classroom culture Maintain classroom organization and ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing standards Work closely with center leadership to support program quality and daily operations
Previous experience as a Preschool Teacher or Lead Teacher in a licensed childcare or early learning program is required Strong knowledge of early childhood development and developmentally appropriate practices Experience planning and implementing preschool curriculum Excellent classroom management, communication, and organizational skills Positive, dependable, and team-oriented attitude CPR and First Aid certification required within 30 days of hire Ability to complete all required state licensing trainings and background requirements
