Job description

  • About Us TheraPeds Partners is a therapist-owned and operated organization.
  • We partner with schools to provide Speech Language Pathology (SLP) services to PreK–12 students nationwide.
  • As a team of special education providers, we understand the education process, IDEA requirements, and the importance of collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Our mission is to deliver high-quality Speech Language Pathology (SLP) services while making meaningful connections in a collaborative learning environment.
  • This is a full-time, on-site role as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) serving a school located in Dalton, GA.
  • The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will be responsible for providing therapy services to students, conducting assessments, developing IEP plans, evaluating progress, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams (therapists, educators, parents).
  • The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a passion for working with students with special needs.

Position Details

Full-time schedule (37.5 hours per week) 2026–2027 school year (August 2026 through May 2027) Serving students in Kindergarten through 8th grade Assignment split between two school buildings Primary Responsibilities Provide direct speech-language therapy services Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals Participate in case management responsibilities, as assigned Consult and collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary collaboration Maintain accurate documentation and service records

Qualifications

Master's or PhD degree from a Speech-Language Pathology program State License as Speech-Language Pathologist Department of Education Licensure as a SLP National License: ASHA Licensing with the State Department of Education, where required CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) preferred CF-SLP placement may be available Experience working with children Experience in a school setting preferred, but not required Organizational and time management skills Proficient in use of technology Fingerprint background clearance Ability to collaborate with school staff and parents with a demonstrated ability to exercise a high level of tact and discretion in both internal and external communications Physical Requirements Working and playing with students requires that employees must be able to perform the necessary physical movement functions, as needed, such as lifting, sitting, walking, standing, crawling, and engaging with students in all physical locations and activities, while adhering to the duties outlined by the district. Employees should be able to perform physical activities associated with supporting students, including standing, walking, sitting, bending, crawling, lifting, and engaging with students in a variety of educational settings while fulfilling district expectations.
