Support the implementation of student behavioral plans in collaboration with the educational team. Implement behavioral interventions in accordance with Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training and individualized treatment plans. Maintain timely, professional communication with teachers and related service providers regarding student behavior, progress, and needs. Provide individualized and small-group academic support as directed by the teacher to meet student learning goals. For NYS Certified Teacher Assistants, contribute to lesson planning, instruction, and classroom activities under the teacher’s guidance. Actively supervise assigned student(s) to ensure safety, engagement, and compliance with IEPs and behavior support plans. Assist in creating and maintaining a supportive classroom environment, including preparing displays, organizing special activities, and engaging with families in coordination with the teacher. Accurately complete required documentation, including behavioral incidents, interventions, attendance, school notes, and outcome data, to support student monitoring and program accountability. Participate in required training and professional development opportunities. Other duties as assigned
