JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS Penn State Harrisburg's Communication Sciences and Disorders Program has a part-time opening to teach our American Sign Language (ASL) classes (ASL I, ASL II) as well as potentially other courses related to Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals. Master’s degree in ASL or a related field. Strong foundation in ASL proficiency. Knowledge of Deaf culture.
Teaching experience at the university level. Certification from American Sign Language Teacher’s Association (ASLTA), Registry for Interpreters for the Deaf (RID), or related agency.
