$15.00 PER HOUR
Provides direct supervision of a group of children in a state licensed program. Provides a quality experience to children and parents focused on YMCA core values: honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring.
Supervises a group of children.
Plans and implements program activities that are culturally relevant, developmentally appropriate and consistent with YMCA values.
Adheres to YMCA and state (Early Education & Care, EEC) standards including safety and cleanliness.
Attends staff meetings and trainings.
Follows YMCA and EEC policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention and emergencies.
Maintains positive relations with parents and other staff. Models relationship-building skills in all interactions.
Ability to plan, lead and participate in activities in a variety of outdoor/indoor team settings.
Ability to work as an efficient team member of the preschool team.
Attends and participates in family nights, program activities, staff meetings, and staff training.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Previous experience working with children.
At least 18 years of age preferred.
Child CPR, First Aid, AED certifications within 30 days of hire date.
EEC trainings within 30 days of hire date.
Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
