About the role

The Vocational Aide facilitates vocational work assignments and provides direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities in both program and community settings. They are also responsible for collecting data on client progress and collaborating with the team to develop and monitor individualized treatment plans.

Vocational Aide Pay Range

  • $20 - $21.25 per hour
  • Shift: Monday-Friday 8am-3pm, 35.5 hrs. wk. Clinton, MA RFK Community Alliance has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Vocational Aide position to join our team in Clinton, MA. About our Adult Vocational Program RFK Community Alliance Adult Day programming offers social, physical, and skill-building opportunities for both our residential and day participants based on each person’s interests and abilities. Program participants enjoy a mix of on-site activities and programming, as well as employment at RFK Community Alliance and in the community if they choose to work. Who We Seek We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Vocational Aid to join our Adult Vocational Program, which serves adults with developmental disabilities (DDS). Vocational Aid will design and implement programs that promote good health, physical fitness, and good nutrition for all individuals in the program. This role also involves facilitating vocational and educational work assignments, supporting individuals both within the program and in the community, and contributing to the development and monitoring of client treatment plans and goals.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma. Bachelors Degree in Human Service related area of study preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, preferably in a vocational or educational setting preferred.
  • Certifications: CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.
  • Valid Driver's license is required to travel to community sites and partner organizations.

  • Facilitate and oversee vocational work assignments tailored to the skills and interests of program participants.

  • Support: Provide direct support to individuals during program activities and when participating in community-based experiences.

  • Goals: Collaborate with the program team to develop and monitor individualized treatment plans and goals, ensuring that they align with the needs and aspirations of each participant.

  • Integration: Assist individuals in participating in community activities and work experiences that promote vocational skills and social inclusion.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with other staff members, case managers, and external partners to ensure a holistic approach to client care and support.
