Who We Seek The Administrative Assistant supports the daily operations of the school by performing a wide range of administrative and clerical duties. This role is essential in ensuring smooth communication between staff, families, and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of discretion, organization, and a strong understanding of the needs and sensitivities related to working in a special education setting.
Experience working with diverse populations and families, as well as local district contacts.
Experience in an administrative support role, preferably in an educational or special education setting.
Familiarity with special education terminology, documentation, and processes.
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business administration, education, or a related field
Work is performed in a school office setting.
Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and use a computer for extended periods.
May occasionally be required to lift materials up to 25 pounds.
Interaction with students who may have complex emotional or behavioral needs may occur
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google applications. Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills are required, with preference given to those with experience in educational or special education settings.
