The College of Nursing at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Staff Assistant. The successful candidate will:
Request classroom space from faculty.
Create Typhon rosters for the undergraduate program.
Receive matriculated student lists for undergraduate cohorts.
Create individual email login credentials for undergraduate students to access Typhon.
Send initial SLAP invitation emails to undergraduate cohorts through Typhon.
Collect student files through designated email.
Enter document expiration dates into individual student Typhon accounts.
Relay clinical document clearance information to students.
Maintain electronic student files accessible to staff.
Run weekly expiration reports through Typhon and notify students of missing or expired documents affecting clinical clearance.
Schedule and assist with Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing candidate interviews.
Receive interview lists and schedules from the Program Director.
Contact applicants by email or phone to schedule interview times.
Create Zoom links for interviews.
Send Zoom links to applicants and the Program Director.
Relay applicant interview or admission declinations to the Program Director.
Take meeting minutes and/or record Admissions and ELP committee meetings in Teams.
Distribute minutes to committee members for review.
Create Teams meeting links.
Send committee meeting invitations to committee members.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of relevant administrative experience, preferably in an academic or healthcare setting. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite is required, while a bachelor's degree is preferred.
