The Gymnastics Coach is responsible for instructing participants in gymnastics skills while ensuring safety and proper equipment usage. They must also observe student progress, maintain professional relationships with parents and staff, and adhere to organizational policies.
Status: under 29 hours/week

Wage: $15-$20/hour

Monday-Friday between 4:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Under the direction of the Gymnastics Head Coach the Gymnastics Coach is responsible for instructing participants, overseeing safety and understanding the importance of progression, safety and the individual needs to each participant.
1.
Coaches and instructs students, individually or in groups, regarding the rules, regulations, and proper use of equipment 2.
Observes students during practice and competition to help determine the needs for the individual or team improvement.

Establishes and maintains professionalism while supervising students and coaches during practice and meets.
4.
Participates in daily warm-ups.
5.
Teach skills in progression and based on each participant’s skill level.
6.
Practical application of basic spotting techniques.
7.
Enforces the utmost safety procedures at all times.
8.
Practices time management skills and communicates with instructors to promote the organizational flow of classes.
9.
Communicates, listens and responds in a professional manner with participants and their parents.
10.
Ability to work in a cooperative manner with other staff.
11.
Builds and maintains effective, positive relationships with the members, participants, volunteers, other staff, and the communities we serve.
12.
Adhere to the Code of Conduct and policies within the Child Abuse Prevention handbook.
13.
Perform other duties as assigned.
