The Assistant Coach assists the Head Coach in the coordination and execution of the Division I Men’s basketball program. Responsibilities include identifying and recruiting student-athletes, developing practice plans, and ensuring strict adherence to NCAA and ACC compliance regulations.
Develop skills of student-athletes, assist in preparing practice plans, and implement practice plans. Promote an atmosphere of compliance within the program through strict adherence to NCAA, ACC, and University rules and regulations through monitoring of program activities, active involvement, and commitment to continuous rules education, timely submission of compliance-related documents, and immediate reporting of any knowledge of potential rules violations involving self or others. Prepare scouting reports on all opponents. Identify, evaluate, and recruit prospective student-athletes. Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.
