The student assistant will support the Athletic Equipment Manager by managing equipment inventory, issuing uniforms and gear, and maintaining clean storage areas. They will also assist with game day set-up and maintain accurate written and electronic records.
Classification Range $16.90 - $24.00 per hour
Anticipated hiring range depending on qualifications, not to exceed $24.00
Under the direction of the Athletic Equipment Manager, the successful candidate(s) for this position will provide assistance to the Equipment Room of the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, while learning key functions of the position’s related duties. This is a unique space where student athletes are supported behind the scenes by both coaches and full-time staff through clerical work.
Assist in maintaining clean and orderly work and storage areas.
Issue towels, uniforms, & practice gear as directed and per department procedure.
Assist with the receiving and distribution of departmental deliveries
Assists with the inventory of equipment and apparel as directed.
Assist with game set-up as needed.
Maintain written and electronic records.
Ability to learn and perform assigned work; follow oral instructions; work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students; communicate effectively with all levels; and read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.
