The Learning Experience – Jenison is seeking a flexible and dependable Early Childhood Assistant Teacher to provide classroom and break coverage throughout our school.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety and working with children at different developmental stages. You'll support our Infant, Toddler, and Preschool classrooms while helping our teaching teams maintain a positive, engaging environment throughout the day.
What You'll Do: Provide classroom coverage for teacher breaks and staffing needs
Support Infant, Toddler, and Preschool classrooms
Engage children in play-based learning and classroom activities
Assist with meals, diapering/toileting, rest time, outdoor play, and transitions
Help maintain safe classroom ratios
Maintain clean, organized, and welcoming classrooms
Build positive relationships with children and team members
Follow Michigan childcare licensing requirements
Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required
Previous childcare, daycare, or preschool experience preferred
CDA or ECE coursework is a plus
Flexible, reliable, and comfortable working with multiple age groups
Must meet Michigan childcare licensing requirements
