Position Summary

Launch Your Teaching Career with ClassiCorps The ClassiCorps Teaching Fellowship is a three-year, full-time pathway into teaching designed for recent college graduates and emerging professionals who are passionate about making a meaningful impact in education. No teaching degree or prior teaching certification is required to apply. We welcome candidates from all undergraduate majors. As a ClassiCorps Fellow, you will become a full-time teacher at Classical Charter Schools while receiving intensive training, ongoing instructional coaching, a fully paid Master of Science in Education from Touro University, and support toward earning your New York State teaching certification. You’ll earn a full-time salary from day one while developing the skills, knowledge, and credentials needed to build a successful career in education. ClassiCorps Fellows receive: $67,000 starting salary plus comprehensive benefits A fully paid Master of Science in Education from Touro University, completed during the first two years of the fellowship Salary growth to $85,000 after completing the Master’s degree A $5,000 completion award after successfully completing your first year An additional $5,000 completion award after successfully completing your second year An additional $5,000 award after completing your teaching certification A supported pathway to New York State teaching certification Intensive training and ongoing coaching from experienced Instructional Coaches Regular classroom observations, feedback, and professional development Hands-on summer teaching preparation before beginning the school year Opportunities to pursue certification in multiple teaching areas, including Special Education Up to $1,000 in relocation reimbursement Up to $500 in wardrobe assistance reimbursement The opportunity to make a lasting impact on students and families in the South Bronx Your Fellowship Experience Three-Year Immersive Fellowship Participate in a comprehensive, structured fellowship designed to help you become an exceptional educator while gaining hands-on experience as a full-time classroom teacher. Summer Teaching Preparation Your fellowship begins with intensive summer preparation, including classroom observations, professional learning sessions, and opportunities to lead instruction during Classical’s Summer Learning Academy. Mentorship & Professional Growth Receive ongoing coaching from experienced Instructional Coaches, including regular classroom observations and debriefs designed to strengthen your instructional practice, classroom management, and leadership skills. Graduate Education Earn your Master of Science in Education from Touro University at no cost to you while working full time. Fellows complete the degree during the first two years of the program. Teaching Certification Receive guidance and support throughout the process of obtaining your New York State teaching certification, with opportunities to pursue certification in a variety of teaching areas. What You’ll Do As a ClassiCorps Fellow and full-time faculty member, you will work alongside experienced educators to provide students with an academically rigorous and supportive learning environment. Responsibilities include: Delivering high-quality instruction that helps scholars achieve mastery of grade-level standards Building a highly structured, positive, and engaging classroom culture Establishing clear academic and behavioral expectations for students Using feedback from coaches and school leaders to continuously strengthen your teaching practice Participating in professional development, coaching, observations, and collaborative planning Building strong relationships with students, families, colleagues, and school leaders Contributing to a school community focused on academic excellence and student growth The 2027 ClassiCorps Teaching Fellowship begins June 1, 2027, with some flexibility for candidates graduating in June. The fellowship requires a three-year commitment. Successful ClassiCorps teachers are encouraged, but not required, to continue their careers with Classical Charter Schools after completing the fellowship. At this time, Classical Charter Schools is unable to provide employment sponsorship for this position. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship from Classical Charter Schools.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree completed by May 2027; all undergraduate majors are welcome A minimum 3.0 GPA Experience working with children or young people through employment, internships, volunteering, mentoring, coaching, tutoring, camps, or similar experiences A genuine interest in teaching and education A willingness to pursue New York State teaching certification Alignment with Classical Charter Schools’ mission and approach to education Successful Candidates : A growth mindset and openness to coaching and feedback Strong organizational and time-management skills A strong work ethic and commitment to professional growth Demonstrate application of our core values: Accountability, Innovation, Professionalism, Rigor, Tenacity, Transparency, and Urgency
