Teaching Assistant, Harlem Gems North

The teaching assistant will support the lead teacher in delivering lessons and facilitating student learning to help scholars achieve grade-Level standards while maintaining high expectations. Responsibilities also include managing the classroom in the teacher's absence, enforcing conduct policies, and monitoring students' academic and emotional well-Being.

Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in early childhood education or have a relevant educational background, along with a valid new york state teaching assistant certification or be in the process of obtaining one within 30 days of hire. The ideal candidate must be passionate about early childhood education and committed to the mission of breaking the cycle of intergenerational poverty.
