Family Worker, Harlem Gems

The family worker will recruit, evaluate, and enroll eligible families into the harlem gems program, facilitating parent involvement through home visits, meetings, and activities. Responsibilities also include performing strengths-Based assessments, assisting parents with goal setting, providing crisis intervention and referrals, and ensuring children receive necessary health screenings and vaccinations.

A bachelor's degree and 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience in fields like social work, psychology, or human services are required for this role. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, knowledge of the harlem community, and demonstrated sensitivity and professionalism when interacting with others.
