Diabetes Educator

The diabetes educator provides patient and family instruction about diabetes care and collaborates with the healthcare team to develop educational materials and programs. They also assess patient needs, set goals, and implement educational plans while utilizing evidence-Based guidelines.

Candidates must be a registered dietitian or registered nurse with at least two years of experience in diabetes education. They should also have completed 30 hours of continuing education in diabetes education principles within the last two years.
