YMCA After School Counselors - PT

The role involves guiding children through engaging activities such as games, arts, and homework help while creating positive connections with both children and their families daily. Counselors must ensure a secure and welcoming environment by strictly following all safety procedures and acting as positive role models.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or ged; previous childcare experience is preferred but not mandatory as pre-Service training is provided. Essential attributes include being reliable, punctual, adaptable, energetic, and capable of lifting up to 40 lbs while maintaining awareness of the children.
