Head Start and Early Head Start Substitute

The substitute will assist classroom staff by maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy environment for children and staff while supporting classroom activities and lesson implementation. Duties also include promoting positive child interactions, development, and assisting with daily routines and caregiving tasks.

A high school diploma is the minimum education required, with the expectation of working towards a child development associate (Cda) credential within two years of hire. Preferred qualifications include a cda, a bachelor's degree in early childhood education, and two years of direct experience with at-Risk populations or in head start programs.
