Head Start Substitute

The substitute will assist classroom staff by maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy environment, supporting lesson implementation, and promoting positive child interactions and development. Duties also include assisting with daily routines and necessary caregiving tasks for the children.

A minimum requirement is a high school diploma, with the expectation of working towards a child development associate (Cda) credential within two years of hiring. Preferred qualifications include a cda, a bachelor's degree in early childhood education, and two years of direct experience with at-Risk populations or in head start programs.
