- In this hands-on role, you’ll support daily operations of the Challenge Course by belaying climbers, maintaining equipment, and creating a safe, encouraging, and fun environment for campers.
- Working closely with the Challenge Course Manager, you’ll help provide proper instruction, supervision, and support to ensure every participant has a positive and confidence-building experience.

- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Ensure the safety of all patrons & members; remedy all unsafe practices or conditions immediately.
- Demonstrate and instruct proper spotting techniques.
- Inspect, issue, and maintain Challenge Course equipment; document unsafe equipment and remove it from the inventory to be repaired or replaced.
- Demonstrate good judgment on group dynamics.
- Provide first aid in emergency situations.
- Maintain positive public relations with members and guests.
- Perform general custodial and maintenance functions of the course, as necessary.
Requirements
KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Certified in standard first aid and CPR Knowledge of climbing, rope care, and maintenance Extreme attention to detail and safety needed Must be 18 years old or older EXPERIENCE: Belaying experience with ATC or GriGri Experience working with children and supervising staff If you lack any training or certifications, training will be provided after hiring.
