The senior camp counselor is responsible for assisting with ymca day camp activities, guiding children's growth within program guidelines, and ensuring a safe and engaging experience. This includes planning and implementing daily curriculum, participating in all camp activities like swimming and games, and maintaining the safety and discipline of the children and areas.
Requirements summary
Candidates must be 17 years or older and preferably possess a clean driver's license, along with two prior years of experience working with children. Essential competencies include skills for working with diverse age/Skill groups, problem-Solving abilities, strong organizational and communication skills, and the capacity to display role model behavior.
