Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm) - Saj

The role is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring the teap program, which includes staff development and substance abuse counseling for students aged 16-24, adhering strictly to job corps federal regulations and the prh handbook. Key duties involve providing individual and group counseling, conducting substance use assessments, managing documentation, facilitating staff training, and coordinating with other health services staff on student care and separation recommendations.

A minimum requirement is holding an active, unrestricted substance abuse license or certification that meets state requirements (E.g., cadc, sudcc, catc, or laadc). Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree in a related field and previous experience working with disadvantaged youth in a residential setting.
