Are you passionate about helping children stay on track with their learning over the summer? If so, this opportunity is for you! The YMCA of the North Shore is seeking a Summer Literacy Assistant to support classroom and camp activities in Greater Beverly. In this role, you will play a key part in helping children strengthen their literacy and social skills while ensuring they stay engaged and continue to grow throughout the summer.

  • You’ll Do: Assist in leading literacy-based activities that promote learning in a fun and supportive environment. Supervise children during classroom and camp activities, ensuring a safe and structured experience. Support curriculum implementation and classroom management while fostering positive behavior. Provide consistency in supervision and communication throughout the day. Build meaningful relationships with participants, encouraging engagement, confidence, and respect for diversity. Apply principles of child development to create an enriching learning experience.
