Core responsibilities
The staff chaplain will provide spiritual care and emotional support to patients, their families, and organization team members, responding to critical events in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members. Responsibilities include assessing spiritual needs, providing care during crises like code blue or trauma alerts, and managing decedent care, including coordination with medical examiners and funeral homes.
Requirements summary
Candidates are required to have a master’s degree (Or equivalent graduate coursework) in divinity, theology, philosophy, psychology, pastoral care, or a related field, along with a minimum of one unit of clinical pastoral education (Cpe). Preferred qualifications include 2-4 units of cpe and professional or faith body endorsement.
