Core responsibilities
Older youth leaders act as positive adult role models, coaches, and mentors for assigned classes of 20-25 students, providing homework assistance, academic enrichment, and physical activity using provided curriculum. They must create an engaging environment, support positive behavior choices, and assist in implementing and creating lesson plans.
Requirements summary
Candidates must meet minimum educational requirements, specifically 48 college semester or 60 college quarter units or a bachelor’s degree, and be at least 22 years old. Essential requirements include the ability to speak and write standard english, at least six months of experience working with groups of 10 or more students, and passing background checks and skills testing.
