Assistant Teacher 1

The assistant teacher supports the head teacher in providing high-Quality education and care for preschool students by assisting with daily classroom supervision, including outdoor activities, and employing positive discipline techniques. This role also involves promoting an inclusive, anti-Racist culture and assisting in the creation and implementation of developmentally appropriate curriculums.

Candidates must possess knowledge of early childhood education development, school readiness, and connecticut early learning and development standards, coupled with a warm and nurturing personality. Essential physical requirements include the ability to stand, walk, and sit for long periods, and lift or assist children up to 30 pounds.
