Substitute Teacher - Sidney

The substitute teacher will collaborate with the educational team to plan and implement the head start educational program, focusing on preparing preschool children for kindergarten. Responsibilities include supporting daily classroom operations, ensuring child safety through supervision, and assisting in developing activities that promote skill building across all developmental domains.

A minimum requirement is a high school diploma or ged, with a commitment to achieving a child development associate (Cda) credential within two years if not already obtained. Preferred qualifications include experience in early childhood education or social services, along with the physical ability to work on the floor with children and maintain acceptable driving records.
