1st Shift Direct Support Professional

Direct support professionals will provide supervision, engagement, and mentorship to students in residential, educational, and community settings, assisting with daily living tasks and teaching appropriate behaviors and coping strategies. Key duties also involve participating in educational activities, planning community outings, implementing safety procedures, and accurately documenting observations and incidents.

Candidates must possess a minimum of a high school diploma or ged, be at least 21 years old, and hold a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Experience working with individuals with special needs in residential or school settings is preferred, along with the ability to remain calm in stressful situations and effectively use approved physical intervention techniques.
