Water Safety Instructor

The instructor plans and teaches swimming and water safety courses to children and adults in group or private settings while ensuring the safety of facility patrons by preventing and responding to emergencies. Duties also include enforcing facility rules, completing required reports, and conducting time keeping.

Applicants must be at least 15 years old and enrolled in high school, with one year of experience teaching swim lessons or competitive swimming. Required certifications include water safety instructor (Wsi) from the american red cross, or three years of competitive swimming experience, plus cpr for the professional rescuer within 30 days of hiring.
