Certified Recovery Specialist

The certified recovery specialist will provide peer-Based recovery support, coaching, and encouragement to individuals seeking help with substance use recovery, acting as a role model and mentor to prevent relapses and promote long-Term recovery. Responsibilities include developing individualized recovery plans, linking individuals to community resources, maintaining ethical standards, and collaborating with various institutions like the chester county prison.

Candidates must possess a minimum of a high school diploma or ged and must have or be obtaining a crs certification from the pennsylvania certification board, with preference for those completing the peer support expansion initiative program. Essential requirements include excellent communication, relationship-Building skills, the ability to maintain confidentiality, and the capacity to work independently while collaborating with healthcare systems.
