Upper School Humanities Teacher

The teacher will plan and teach classes within the upper school humanities department, focusing on the american studies sequence, while utilizing a standards-Based learning framework for feedback. Responsibilities also include serving as a student advisor and engaging in community involvement such as coaching or leading extracurricular activities.

Candidates must possess deep subject-Matter expertise in american literature and american history, demonstrated through integrated teaching experience and mastery of discussion-Based pedagogies like harkness or socratic seminar. A bachelor's degree is required, with a master's degree in a related field strongly preferred, alongside full-Time high school teaching experience.
