• The position will typically assist with the following:

Responsibilities

Physical care of infant/toddler (including diapering, feeding, and cleanliness); Following an age-appropriate curriculum, and developing relationships with the director, co-workers, parents, and students; Ensure the safety of the children, and cleanliness of the classroom, and treat each child with dignity and respect for his/her cultural background; Interact with each child on a daily basis through circle time, centers, snacks, lunchtime, playground, free play, etc.; Maintain accurate attendance; Order supplies and materials; Utilize effective classroom management; Maintain quality results by following and enforcing standards; Attend staff meetings and serve on committees as required. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High school degree or GED. Relevant previous daycare experience working with children in a licensed or accredited daycare, childcare center, or preschool; Caring and compassionate attitude a must; Excellent interpersonal, communication, decision-making, and organizational skills; Must have critical thinking, monitoring, negotiating, and learning skills; Ability to convey a dynamic, energetic, and fun-loving spirit; Must have problem-solving and creativity skills; Ability to maintain confidentiality.
