Core responsibilities
The registered behavior technician spends about 80% of their time working one-On-One or in small groups with clients to implement individualized treatment plans created by a bcba, focusing on skill-Building and confidence enhancement. The remaining 20% is dedicated to administrative tasks like session notes, documentation, data collection, and maintaining a safe learning environment.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and obtain rbt certification within 90 days of hire, along with cpr/First aid certification within 30 days. Required attributes include basic computer skills, strong communication, reliability, time management, reliable transportation, and the physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and support personal care needs.
