Boating Assistant - Camp Otter

The boating assistant provides direct instruction for boating activities to children aged six to thirteen within a traditional day camp program, while championing a culture of service excellence aligned with the ymca's mission and values. Essential functions include possessing mature judgment, monitoring camp operations for regulatory adherence, and maintaining positive relationships with campers, staff, and parents.

Candidates must be at least 16 years old and possess current state-Approved lifeguard/First aid and cpr/Aed certifications, preferably having two or more years of experience working with children in a camp setting. Applicants must also be highly organized and complete mandatory child abuse prevention training within the first two weeks of employment.
