Swim Instructor

The swim instructor provides safe, motivational, and knowledgeable instruction to participants under the aquatics director, prioritizing class safety and adherence to established guidelines. Key duties include maintaining constant surveillance, enforcing pool rules, setting up equipment, and recording participant progress.

Candidates must be at least 15 years old and possess current certifications including cpr for the professional rescuer, aed, first aid, and lifeguard certification, along with strong swimming ability. Knowledge of aquatics, effective communication, and the ability to promote ymca values and membership are also required.
