Reading Specialist

The reading specialist is responsible for building a caseload, providing individual reading tutoring, conducting academic assessments to set measurable objectives, and maintaining progress records while communicating updates to parents.

Candidates must possess a bachelor's or master's degree in teaching from an accredited school and hold a missouri dese certification as both a teacher and a reading specialist. A minimum of one year of teaching experience as a reading specialist is required, with preference given to those knowledgeable in orton-Gillingham based programs.
